Joey Lawrence started in the business at a very young age. He used to be a child star in the early 1980s. The 44-year-old rose to prominence when he played the role of Joey Russo in the 1990s TV series Blossom, followed by Brotherly Love in the mid-1990s. In August 2010, Lawrence returned to TV on the ABC Family sitcom Melissa & Joey. Hutt plays a woman who hires Lawrence as a nanny to take care of her sister’s children. He was at the peak of his career when the singer-songwriter got into some serious financial issues. It wasn’t revealed what financial problems Lawrence had back then.

But according to reports, he filed for insolvency in 2017. All of his investment money was gone, and there were even rumors that he and his wife, Chandie Yawn-Nelson, were selling clothes and other household appliances on eBay to make ends meet. Allegedly, they only had $8,000 to their names.
