Princess Diana

The Diana family came from a noble family and has been closely related to the British royal family for generations. The grandmother was a noblewoman who served the queen mother. In 1974, the Spencers left Parkhouse for Althorp. Diana spent most of her teenage years in Althorp, a mansion in Northamptonshire with 90 rooms. The Althorp House-an hour and a half from the capital-was built in 1508 and has been passed down to the Spencer family for 19 generations. The estate is not only a magnificent estate, it also covers 13,000 acres of countryside.

It includes huts, farms, woodlands and villages, which combine to form a rich landscape, habitat and activities. Perhaps, it is now the most famous as Diana’s final resting place. She once said that it was the happiest time she had spent in her life. Diana charged her friends with a rent of £18 a week and wrote “Chief Chick” on the door of her bedroom so that no one would forget her status as a landlady. It is said that she has established a strict cleaning list. A blue plaque will be installed at the site later this year to commemorate its historical importance.
