Widely considered as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Michael Jordan is the chairman and principal owner of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team Charlotte Hornets and the NASCAR Cup Series’ 23XI Racing. Jordan won six championships for the Chicago Bulls in his 15-season career with the team, becoming a global cultural icon by helping popularize the NBA globally in the 1980s and 1990s. He played under Coach Dean Smith while playing college basketball for three seasons with the North Carolina Tar Heels. Later on, Jordan emerged as the league’s star after he joined the Chicago Bulls in 1984.
