Mel Gibson is best known for his action-hero roles, particularly with the post-apocalyptic series Mad Max. There, he portrayed Max Rockatansky. Of course, who could ever forget his performance in the action film series Lethal Weapon? When he was 12, Gibson moved to New York City with his family from Australia. Later on, he studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts and starred in a production of Romeo and Juliet. In the 1980s, the actor ventured into some business investments and founded the production company Icon Entertainment. As his career took off, he starred in numerous lead-role movies such as The Patriot, Conspiracy Theory, Ransom, Payback, and Forever Young, to mention a few.

Apart from his acting profession, Gibson also directed many movies, such as the historical epic Braveheart. He also starred as the lead character for the said film and even won Best Director for the Golden Globe Award, Best Picture, and Best Director for the Academy Awards. Needless to say, Gibson achieved extraordinary success in his chosen profession, increasing his net worth hugely, and bought a Bentley Arnage.
