Kevin Costner started his career in 1981 with the movie Sizzle Beach, U.S.A. and rose to prominence, following a few minor roles, in the 1987 movie The Untouchables, where he portrayed the character of Eliot Ness. This was followed by successive films with leading parts in the coming years since then. These include the projects No Way Out, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Dances with Wolves, in which he was credited with two Academy Awards, JFK, Robin Hood, The Bodyguard, and The Postman.

Apart from his acting profession, Costner is also a member of the country-rock band Kevin Costner & Modern West, which he founded with the encouragement of his wife, Christine Baumgartner. The band began a world tour that included shows in Rome and Istanbul, among other countries. In essence, Costner achieved massive success in his career and increased his financial capacity considerably. One of the things the actor bought was a Toyota Tundra. The truck is fitted with a 5.7-liter V8 engine that delivers a power output of 381 horsepower and 401 pound-foot of torque.
